Who is your Public?


It might sound like an odd question; however it is one area that is often overlooked.  Your Public is anyone who you come in contact with: clients, team-members, sub-contractors, consultants, suppliers, your community at large, etc…

So you may be asking yourself right now, “Does my Public know our story?”  To tell your story, gain credibility, and become part of your Public you need both Marketing and Public Relations.  The Marketing process identifies your target audience, effectively communicates with said consumer, and further retains them as a client.  Public Relations relays information, typically topics of public interest, to your all-encompassing Public.  Notable PR includes charitable events, service days, educational sessions, and awards to name a few.
